"Doesn't practice the antics after plays and waving off coaches and all these little pi**y faces" - Julian Edelman slams Mac Jones

Julian Edelman isn't best pleased with Mac Jones.

During his appearance on Inside the NFL, the former New England Patriots wide receiver slammed the team's second-year quarterback for failing to tackle Chandler Jones.

During the final play of the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots on Sunday, Chandler Jones intercepted an ill-advised lateral pass. After intercepting Jakobi Meyers, Chandler Jones stiff-armed the helpless Mac Jones and returned it for a walk-off touchdown. Watch the unbelievable play below:

Speaking about Jones' failed tackle attempt, Edelman said that the quarterback should have done better:

"The season's on the line. You gotta trip him."

When offered a rebuttal that quarterbacks don't practice tackling and Jones shouldn't be blamed, Edelman gave a scathing response. He criticized the Patriots quarterback for throwing tantrums on the sidelines. He said:

"You know what, he also doesn't practice the antics after plays and waving off coaches and all these little pi**y faces and stuff. Like he doesn't practice that, and he does it."

Mac Jones hasn't shied away from voicing his frustration during games. Julian Edelman is clearly not impressed by the young quarterback's inability to keep his emotions in check.

Can Mac Jones and the Patriots make it to the playoffs?

Despite that morale-deflating loss to the Raiders, the Patriots still have their playoff destiny in their own hands. If they win their remaining three games, they will usurp divisional rivals Miami Dolphins and earn a wildcard spot.

However, their other two opponents are the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills. Both teams are among the best in the AFC, alongside the Kansas City Chiefs, and are in the hunt for the top seed in the conference standings.

While the Patriots are the masters of their destiny, earning that playoff spot will require three flawless performances. And given how their most recent game ended, it's looking fairly implausible that Mac Jones and the Patriots will be heading to the postseason.
