Free agency has just begun in the NFL, and the Dallas Cowboys will be one of many teams making moves this off-season to improve their roster for the 2023-2024 season.

Dallas currently has $14 million in cap space and will continue to create space with restructures to players' contracts.

As of right now, per SportsBettingAG, the Cowboys are the favorites to land big-ticket wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. They have 2-1 odds of landing him with the Buffalo Bills right behind them at 3-1. The Cowboys are also the favorites to land free-agent wide receiver Julio Jones next season.

Veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson is also the favorite to sign with Dallas this off-season.

While Dallas is the favorite to land these three veterans, there's a chance they may land one or two, or none of them.

Dallas does need help at both the wide receiver and cornerback positions, and these veterans would be seen as cheaper options this late in their careers.

Could the Dallas Cowboys land Odell Beckham Jr. after holding off on him last season?

By the end of last season, the Cowboys were close to signing Odell Beckham Jr. He had interest from the Cowboys, Chiefs, Bills, Giants, and Chiefs, but nobody signed him because he wasn't healthy enough to play.

After meeting with OBJ in person last season, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wasn't confident about signing him.

Jones said:

“I’m not confident at all. And, so, that’s the issue. Now, we all realize that issue of health, that issue of availability is here every time. Just this one is very obvious and very pointed toward his injury that occurred last year in the Super Bowl. We got a good bead on that. We got a great read on his career. It’s not like a draft pick coming at you.

Jones added:

"You got a lot of history here and you can take a good look at, not only the obvious and that’s his performance, but also any issues regarding health. So, all of this we got to come in with our eyes wide open and it has to be addressed, and that’s when you can see if you can make a deal or not.”

Now that OBJ has recovered from the ACL tear that he suffered in last season's Super Bowl, he is healthier and just had a workout in Phoenix, Arizona, in front of many teams to show he's healthy. He'll land with a new team this offseason.
