English soccer superstar Harry Kane apparently had some inside information about Tom Brady prior to the start of the 2022 NFL season.

When Brady initially retired in the 2022 offseason, he and Kane built a friendship that started on social media. A few weeks later, when Brady decided to unretire and return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another season, Kane wasn't exactly surprised.

Harry Kane appeared on an episode of "The Tonight Show" hosted by Jimmy Fallon during the 2022 NFL offseason. Fallon asked him about his personal relationship with Tom Brady and his potential knowledge of the unretirement situation.

Here's what Kane had to say:

"I was following him on Instagram and he kind of commented on one of my pictures. I slid into his DMs. He was a great guy, we kind of got to talking. I'm an NFL fan so I was kind of wishing him luck for the season and stuff. We just kind of grew a relationship from there, really.
"He actually came to a game, one of our games in the UK. It was actually the day before he announced he was coming back to play. And I asked, 'How are you getting on? How's retirement treating you?' And his face was just like, 'I'm not sure if I'm ready yet.' He didn't like say it, but the next day he announced it. I thought it was great."

Harry Kane was referring to when Tom Brady attended the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in March 2022. The two superstars from their own separate sports apparently enjoy watching each other compete as some of the greatest at what they do.

Harry Kane claims he can be an NFL kicker

Jimmy Falon asked Harry Kane if he could ever join the NFL and step in as a kicker in an emergency situation. The Tottenham and England striker had this interesting response:

"I mean, I feel like I could. I'd put myself up there, for sure."

Kane backed up his response by bringing a video of himself impressively converting on a 50 yard field goal attempt. The video was taken at the New York Giants' practice facility when Kane was visiting the team during preseason workouts.

His perfect form and mechanics on this deep attempt suggests that if he truly wanted to join the NFL as a kicker, he would likely be able to do so.
