Okenna is an AFL journalist at Sportskeeda. He has previously worked as a radio presenter at Green FM Umuahia for 4 years, and as a writer at Opera News Hub Nigeria for around 2 years. As a successful modus operandi, he strictly sticks to publishing guidelines, double checks facts while writing, pays very close attention to details and prides himself on picking complex topics to write on.

An Essendon Bombers fan, Okenna had his first tryst with AFL in 2014, when he stumbled upon a list of renowned AFL players on the web while trying to find out the all-time best Socceroos. He was immediately drawn to the fast-paced nature and the tackles and kicks of Australian football after watching a few clips. Okenna is a huge fan of Bombers captain Zach Merrett for his unparalleled work-rate. He also admires Damien Hardwick for his achievements with Richmond Tigers between 2017 and 2020.

Some of Okenna’s prospective career landmarks include interviewing Merrett and covering an AFL game live from the stadium. For him, Dustin Martin-led Richmond Tigers' Premiership win in 2017 is an iconic moment in the history of the sport. When not writing, he loves watching European football, movies and reading books.
