Wales and England will contest the IRB Junior World Championship final after England beat New Zealand and Wales were semi-final winners over South Africa on Tuesday.

Ellis Jenkins went over the line for Wales to give them an 11-7 lead, but controversially replays showed that Jenkins appeared to have lost control of the ball.

South Africa went 17-11 with five minutes to go from a penalty, but there was to be late drama as winger Ashley Evans raced on to Davies’ kick ahead to score in the corner.

And England ensured a first all-Northern Hemisphere JWC decider as they joined Wales in the final with a 33-21 win over fancied New Zealand.

An interception by Anthony Watson saw him race to the line unopposed in the 37th minute, giving England to a 20-8 half-time lead.

However New Zealand narrowed the gap to 23-18 at one stage, but a late converted try and a penalty saw England home 33-21 and into the final.
