Pink Marathon in Jaipur

Pink Marathon was held in Jaipur yesterday

On what would normally be a lazy Sunday morning, the people of Jaipur got out and participated in a refreshing run at the Pink Marathon in the ‘Pink City’.

Participants ranged from various walks of life, right from doctors, lecturers, police officials, housewives, and students as they came together to show their support towards a healthy lifestyle and women empowerment. The 6 km run was flagged off by social activist Suresh Mishra.

One of the participants, Nidhi Toshniwal, said, “An early stroll is a must in my daily routine. But today’s run with like-minded women coming together for a cause has given me a high. I enjoyed it to the fullest.” Sadhna Arya won the title of ‘Face of Mega Pink Jaipur’ after completing the run.

Model, actor and fitness freak Milind Soman is actively promoting the Pink Marathon, an event that is organized in about 40 cities across India.

Mukesh Mishra, CEO of the marathon said: “He couldn’t make it to Jaipur as he was busy holding fort in Mumbai”
