The second day of shooting action will see the 10m Air Pistol event, where shooters shoot from a distance of 10m with the bulls-eye of the target located at a height of 1.4 metres from the ground.
The Women are given a total of 40 shots in qualification and they will need to fire them in 50 minutes, with the highest achievable number being 10. The top eight shooters from the qualifying round progress through to the final, where they fire 20 shots in order to stake a claim to stand on the podium.

Heena Sidhu: One of Indian shooting’s big prospects for a medal, Sidhu has been a consistent performer in the last few years. A gold medallist at the World Cup Final in 2013 in the same category, the 26-year-old also won a silver medal at the Fort Benning World Cup in 2014 in the 10m Air Pistol and was part of the team that won the bronze in the 25m Air Pistol event.
A former World No.1 in the category, Heena would look to better her performance considerably from London 2012, where she finished 12th in qualification and will look to finish on the podium in her second Olympics in Rio.

Gou Wenjun: The reigning two-time Olympic champion in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event, Gou Wenjon will once start as a favourite in Rio. The 32-year-old clinched the gold in the at the inaugural Bangkok World Cup earlier this year and will look to make it a hat-trick of gold on Sunday in Brazil.
Olena Kostevych: The 2004 Olympic gold medalist, Kostevych will once again be a top contender for a medal in Rio.She won the bronze at the London Olympics and will look to change the colour of her medal at Rio on Sunday.
