Transfer Rumours of the Day: 15th July 2014

Now that the World Cup is over and the domestic season across Europe is just a little more than a month away, we will bring you the latest transfer updates every day. Here are todays top picks from the newspapers across Europe:

#1 Manchester United

- Express claims that Manchester United are unwilling to pay £34 m for Arturo Vidal.

- Daily Star is reporting that Kevin Strrotman can join the Red Devils in January and United boss Louis van Gaal is keeping a close eye on him.

- Sky Sports have reported that Edison Cavani is looking for Premier League football and both Manchester United and Chelsea are interested.

#2 Arsenal

- Metro have reported that Arsenal have refused to meet150,000 per week wage demands by Sami Khedira. Chelsea are in the pole position now.

- Metro have also reported that Arsenal are looking for a player swap deal with Manchester United for Thomas Vermaelen. They want Chris Smalling over a cash agreement.

- Daily Star have reported that Arsenal are poised to sign Southamptons Carl Chambers as a replacement for Carl Jenkinson.

#3 Chelsea

- Express have reported that Chelsea are awarding Gary Cahill a new 4 year contract.

- Metro have reported that Filipe Luis is close to Chelsea switch as he is flying to London for his medical.

#4 Liverpool

- Express have reported that Liverpool are looking for a massive £44m swoop for Marco Reus.

- ESPN have reported that Liverpool are pushing for a deal for Alberto Moreno from Sevilla now that Iago Aspas looks to be going to Sevilla.

- Metro have reported that Mario Balotelli is available for just £14m and Liverpool will look to sign him from AC Milan.

- Harry Redknapp is closing in on Rio Ferdinand on a free transfer, reports BT Sport.

- Marca has reported that Cristian Tello is on his way to Porto from Barcelona on a season long loan.

- Express has reported that Eliaquim Mangala to Manchester City is a done deal.
