Despite missing the legendary LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers (5-10) have secured three straight wins after a troublesome start to the season. They're coming into tonight's game with a good deal of momentum off their impressive win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

The Phoenix Suns (10-6), meanwhile, will be looking to secure their eighth consecutive win over the Lakers, having soundly bested them last season. The Suns are coming in off a win over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Prediction

Despite the recent return to form, the Lakers will come into tonight as the underdogs. Between their team captain's continued absence and their spotty record prior to the past week, the LA outfit have seen much better days. Even so, Anthony Davis' dominance during the Spurs game bodes well for the Lakers' chances tonight. With Westbrook likely playing after all, too, the Lakers could very well continue their comeback here.

The Suns, meanwhile, have remained strong in Chris Paul's absence, with Cameron Payne more than holding up the team's strength on the point guard front. Despite a dispiriting loss to the Utah Jazz last week, the Suns have remained in high spirits and completely took control of the Knicks during their Sunday game. Given their success despite changing line-ups and injured star players, it's hard to bet against the resourceful Phoenix crew.

Prediction: Phoenix Suns -10 (-110)
