Shooters Sanjiv Rajput and Shagun Choudhary arrive at the Games Village

Shooters Sanjeev Rajput and Shagun Choudhary joined the Olympic Games Village on Wednesday, 18th July, thus making a total of 5 male and 1 female shooters so far. Amongst the officials were the Press Attache Mr Harpal Singh Bedi, Dr Sarala Rao, Dr Sanjogita Soodan and Physiotherapist Mr Ramesh Trivedi from the Medical Team.

The Archers went for training at the Lords Cricket Ground while the shooters went for their practices at the Shooting Range and the Weight Lifters had their workouts at the Excel Stadium. The weather, being most unpredictable with intermittent rains and bright sunshine, is a real nightmare for those who are not accustomed to this variation in temperatures.

As more and more athletes and officials are entering the Games Village, the atmosphere is getting positive and vibrant. There is plenty of bonhomie and camaraderie in the Dining Hall when people from different countries meet each other and exchange pleasantries. The Indian Team is eagerly awaiting the introduction of the Indian & Asian Food Counter from today, as they are missing their home food. However, there is plenty of variety and the McDonalds is a great hit with the athletes and officials
