Indian Squash: Dipika Pallikal makes history

Dipika Pallikal carved her name into the history books of Indian squash becoming the first player to reach a World Open quarterfinal.

The unseeded Dipika defeated 14th seed Jaclyn Hawkes of New Zealand in her first round. She followed up her victory defeating Kanzy El Dafrawy of Egypt in the 2nd round. Dipika’s dream run ended in the quarter final going down to 15th seeded Samantha Teran from Mexico.
