Aryna Sabalenka recently showed off her lighter side by posting humorous reactions to pictures of herself taken during practice sessions ahead of the 2023 Indian Wells Open.

The second-seeded Sabalenka has received a first-round bye at the WTA 1000 event. On Monday, she took to social media to share a few pictures of herself during practice.

One of them showed her pointing towards her eyes and making an 'I see you' gesture. She reacted to the picture with 'laughing-crying' emojis.

Another picture showed the World No. 2 making a circle with her left hand, and she asked her fans to guess what the gesture indicated.

"Can someone explain me what I was trying to show here," she wrote.

Reacting to a picture of herself on the phone, apparently in a serious conversation, Sabalenka wrote:

"Yes yes I think it's a good investment. Business lady. Practice mode on."

Sabalenka will also be teaming up with Taylor Fritz at the Eisenhower Cup, a charity mixed doubles exhibition event to be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on March 7.

Aryna Sabalenka has had a dream run in 2023 so far. She began her season with a title run at the Adelaide International 1, a feat she accomplished without dropping a set. She then won her maiden Grand Slam at the Australian Open and skyrocketed to a career-best ranking of No. 2.

The 24-year-old then competed at the Dubai Tennis Championship but fell to eventual champion Barbora Krejcikova in the quarterfinals, which was her first loss of the season. In a post-match interaction with the media, Sabalenka seemed to take the result in her stride and stated that she would be working hard ahead of the Indian Wells Open.

"Probably there will be less attention (now that the streak is over). It doesn’t matter, I lost it. Barbora deserved it, she played great tennis and I will just keep working and keep getting better; make sure that Indian Wells will be a better result,” she said.

While Sabalenka's best result at Indian Wells came in 2019, when she reached the Round of 16, she comes into the WTA 1000 event this year full of confidence.
