Frances Tiafoe congratulated basketball great Steph Curry for signing a new lifetime contract with sports apparel giant Under Armour. The new deal includes an equity stake in the company along with many other benefits, and will extend beyond Curry's NBA career.

Tiafoe is a huge basketball fan and is often seen attending NBA games when he has some time off from the tennis tour. He is also known to be a big admirer of Curry.

The World No. 14 reacted to the news of the Golden State Warriors superstar's highly lucrative deal with Under Armour, taking to social media to congratulate Curry.

"My dawg, congrats bro," Frances Tiafoe wrote on Instagram.

Tiafoe met Curry last year during his Japan Open campaign in Tokyo, while Curry was in the city for the NBA pre-season.

Tiafoe recently bowed out in the third round of the Miami Open, losing to Lorenzo Sonego. Earlier, the 25-year-old enjoyed a strong run at Indian Wells, where he reached the semifinals with wins over Marcos Giron, Jason Kubler, Alejandro Tabilo, and Cameron Norrie. Tiafoe made back-to-back quarterfinals at the Dallas Open and Mexican Open before Indian Wells.

Frances Tiafoe recently opened up about the impact of advice from the likes of Steph Curry and LeBron James, joking that the same advice from his parents does not seem as impactful as it does when Curry and James say it. Tiafoe learned the importance of making sacrifices as a top-level athlete from Curry and James.

"It's funny, your parents tell you the same s**t all the time, but when you hear it from Steph Curry or you hear it from LeBron, it's a little different. I'm sorry. Sorry, mom. Sorry, dad. It's a little different hearing it from them. When they tell me that, yeah, I think it's time to make some sacrifice," Tiafoe said in a press conference at Indian Wells.

Tiafoe will now turn his focus towards the clay-court season, where he had poor runs in Madrid, Rome, and Roland Garros last season. However, he will defend a run to the final of the Estoril Open, where he beat the likes of Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Sebastian Korda. Tiafoe will enter the clay season at No. 15 in the ATP rankings.
