Former Wimbledon runner-up and current World No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska is known for her wondrous shot-making skills on the court. She can now boast of another talent – that of fooling everyone with her cheeky sense of humour.

The Pole is set to tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend and sparring partner Dawid Celt next year. But she decided to play a prank after one of her best friends, Caroline Wozniacki made a comment of her getting married.

The Dane, who reached the semi-finals of the US Open this year, was asked during the tournament if she gets to hang out with her old friends on the Tour like before. The former World No. 1 pointed out how their priorities have changed now yet they manage to find out a bit of time for each other whenever possible.

In addition, she pointed out that Radwanska is getting married so it might be difficult for them to have a girls’ trip later on.

“Actually I don’t think it’s that different. We would still go on vacations, but the problem is like, you know, Aga is getting married, so then all of a sudden we’re like, We just want a girls trip, but it’s tough when everyone has their own thing,” Wozniacki said.

That particular comment made Twitter go berserk with fans and journalists conjecturing that the Pole’s wedding is this year instead of 2017. Radwanska decided to cash in on the frenzy to keep Twitterati on tenterhooks.

She smartly put up a beach photo of hers on her Facebook account on Friday, saying she needs enough rest before wedding day on Saturday.

After a flurry of tweets on her suspected wedding, the 27-year-old cleared all the confusion on Saturday with another Facebook post. She revealed it was just the wedding of her coach Tomasz Wiktorowski that she was attending!

Just as she manages to outfox her opponents on court with her guile, she succeeded in brilliantly outwitting Polish journalists for whom she left a message – “Special greetings to the journalists with a big imagination.”

Radwanska had bowed out in the fourth round of the 2016 US Open, losing to the rising 18-year-old Ana Konjuh of Croatia in straight sets.

Radwanska and Wozniacki are good friends on tour and are up to all kinds of things, like in this video:
