This is not the first time Mirch Marner made a fan's day. During a Valentine's Day Road game against the Vegas Golden Knights in 2019, a young Leafs fan in the stands caught Marner's attention with a heartwarming sign asking him to be her Valentine.

The sign was held by an adorable young girl behind the glass at the T-Mobile Arena.

"Hey Mitch to Be My Valentine. - Fist Bump? Selfie? Puck?" Said the sign.

Marner noticed the sign and proceeded to make the fan's Valentine's Day extra special.

First, he tossed her a puck over the glass, eliciting an ecstatic reaction. But he wasn't done - Marner then asked her for a selfie, which left the girl overjoyed.

The superfan's father later took to social media to express his gratitude for Marner's kindness.

"Hey @Marner93 .... That's my kid. You made her life. Thanks so much for being such a great sport and total class act. You're the franchise and always an All Star. See you in Phoenix!!!!" tweeted Mark Beretta. He also shared the heartwarming selfie his daughter got with her favorite player.

Beretta said that the family woke up to see the moment going viral:

"All we wanted was for @Marner93 to wave at his biggest little fan. Thanks so much, very proud to be part of #LeafsForever and Leaf Nation." He also revealed his wife made a sign for their next game in Phoenix asking for a photo with Auston Matthews.

Moments like this show why Mitch Marner is a fan-favorite in Toronto and around the league.
