WWE news roundup: 1000th Raw Episode

- Paul Heyman at Raw 1000: Paul Heyman is confirmed to appear on this week’s 1,000th RAW episode with Brock Lesnar.

- Matt Morgan Teasing for WWE ? : Matt Morgan has dropped the “TNA” portion of his Twitter handle. He was previously listed as @TNAMattMorgan, but he has now changed his name to @BPMattMorgan.- William Regal as GM ? : William Regal is campaigning to become the new permanent GM of RAW and SmackDown. Regal posted this update on his Twitter, pleading his case for the role: “Just to let @WWE know #RegalforGM is trending on #Tout. No more part time one trick pony people in this job please.You know it makes sense… I will put a #Tout up by tomorrow doing something that I guarantee no body else in the running for GM can do.#RegalforGM #Oldpro … And no it’s not talk,organize,matchmake,entertain,wrestle,dress or have fabulous hair.I do those better than the other candidates anyway.”

- Ezekiel Jackson on Raw 1000 : Ezekiel Jackson wrote the following on his Twitter about this Monday’s historic 1,000th episode: “#raw1000 is the beginning of a new era in the #WWE it’s gonn be #rawat8 … #change is good”.

- Kurt Angle Marrying: Congratulations to Kurt Angle, who will be marrying Giovanna Yannotti (20 July 2012). He also wrote on Twitter : “GOD Bless the Victims and families In the Colorado Incident. Today When I Get Married, You All Will Be In My Prayers”.

- New Talent Signed: Former WCW star The Stro has confirmed a new WWE FCW signing by posting the following on Facebook:

- WWE Partnering with Shazam: WWE has issued a press release noting that it has partnered with the music tagging social media company Shazam.

Beginning on Monday for Raw 1,000, fans can use the Shazam app to tag WWE music, which will then bring up the option for fans to purchase the music in addition to tickets, entrance themes, videos and merchandise.

- Rumors on Austin at Raw 1000:On rumors that Steve Austin will face Heath Slater on Raw 1,000: “Austin will definitely give him the stunner, ya’ know thats coming! Fans get ready, you’re gonna see a Stunner!”

On if he will be apart of Raw 1,000: “I will be making an appearance…people will see that my spikes were excellently repainted! Yeah, I’ll be there all painted up, with bells on boys! If it happens it happens, I’m ready!”

On what else to expect for Raw 1,000: “It’s gonna star studded, on my flight alone is me, DDP and Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart!”

- Undertaker at Raw 1000: With rumors circulating over the past few weeks, Wrestlezone can now confirm that The Undertaker will make his much anticipated return to WWE TV at the historic Raw 1,000th episode this coming Monday in St. Louis.

It is unclear what his role will be, but The Undertaker will be live on Raw Monday. He is among other Legends set for the show including The Rock, Degeneration X, Brock Lesnar and Mick Foley.

- Earning Reports: WWE CEO Vince McMahon and wife Linda McMahon reported earnings of $30.6 million in 2010. Linda released their tax return on Friday. The couple paid $4.7 million in federal taxes in 2010.
