WWE presented WrestleMania XL earlier this month in Philadelphia. The two-night event was the highlight of a massive week for the company, and new details have been revealed on just how successful the 40th annual Showcase of The Immortals was.

WWE touted WrestleMania 40 as the most successful and highest-grossing event in company history. This was a significant success for the company as they announced the same stats for 'Mania 39 one year before. A post-show press release mentioned how 145,298 people attended The Granddaddy of 'Em All at Lincoln Financial Field across both nights, which shattered the gate record due to higher ticket prices. This year's attendance breaks down to 72,543 people on Night One, and 72,755 on Night Two.

WWE's 40th marquee extravaganza set a new company record for gate receipts. The event reportedly brought in a whopping $38.5 million in ticket sales, according to JohnWallStreet. This was up 78% from last year's gate, and up 147% from the gate in 2022.

The dollar figure set this year is especially impressive as attendance was higher in 2023 and 2022. 'Mania 38 drew a combined attendance of 156,352 (Night One: 77,899; Night Two: 78,453), while WrestleMania 39 drew combined attendance of 161,892 (Night One: 80,497; Night Two: 81,395).

It was previously announced that WrestleMania XL set a new record for viewership, up 41% across both nights from last year's record. Merchandise sales were up more than 20% from the record set in 2023. The red and blue brands also set records earlier this month. The go-home SmackDown at the Wells Fargo Center set a new gate record for that show, while the post-WrestleMania RAW at the same venue set a new gate record for the flagship show.
