Fortnite has managed to establish itself as a massive force in pop culture over the years. The game has grown at an exponential rate, with many celebrities hopping on to see what the hype is about. In a recent series of posts, popular rapper and singer Doja Cat took to the social media platform to give her opinions on the state of the game in Chapter 5 Season 2. Doja Cat expressed her distaste for many of the items and weapons that are currently in the game, specifically the Chains of Hades and the Waterbending Mythic, highlighting how these items can be seen as broken.

Here's what she said:

“Water bending is a f**king crutch. You are not good at the game because of water bending. I would become severely depressed if I had to rely on any of these stupid non-f**king weapons.”

Doja Cat's X posts have sent the Fortnite community into a frenzy, with players taking to the comments of the posts to engage in a discussion about the game's current state with the popular rapper. X user @ORiamBr also felt the same way about the Waterbending Mythic, and they mentioned that their discontent with the weapon turned them off of using the Katara skin released as part of the Fortnite x Avatar The Last Airbender collaboration. However, not everyone agrees with Doja Cat's views on the Waterbending Mythic, with X user @bluemax_x expressing how the Mythic still requires good aim.

Recognizing Doja Cat's popularity and her ties to the game, some members of the community, like X users @MeroFN and @Refsgaaard used this opportunity to hilariously ask Doja Cat to use her clout to persuade Epic Games to add siphon back into the game.

Joking about how Epic Games might listen to one of the biggest artists in the world, X user @DahjaCat commented:

"now we wait for the “water bending has been disabled” tweet"

When will the Waterbending Mythic be taken out of Fortnite?

As highlighted by Doja Cat's statements and the community's reactions to her post on X, the Fortnite Waterbending Mythic has undoubtedly been a contentious addition to the game, and many players are curious to know when the Mythic will be leaving the loot pool.

Since the item was released as a part of the game's ongoing collaboration with Avatar The Last Airbender in Chapter 5 Season 2, it is fair to assume that the Waterbending Mythic will be removed from the game once Chapter 5 Season 2 ends on May 24, 2024.
