Swerve Strickland opened up about The Elite's recent attack on Tony Khan during a recent episode of AEW Collision.

This week on AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry called out Tony Khan who came down to the ring, only to get sucker punched in the stomach. This attack swiftly brought The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada out to ringside. While it looked like they were out there to help Khan at first, The Young Bucks hit the Meltzer Driver on him instead, laying him out.

This week on AEW Collision, Swerve Strickland kicked off the show where he recapped what transpired on Dynamite. He then called what The Elite did to Tony Khan a "b**ch move". The crowd also joined in with "b**ch move" chants.

"But, I don't know something about four elite athletes coming down and beating down a 'fighter,' uh non-fighter I would say in Tony Khan. That sounds like a b**ch move to me," said Strickland.

Dutch Mantell feels Tony Khan should form his own team following The Elite's attack

The Elite's attack on Tony Khan sent shockwaves through the industry. This is because since Khan started AEW, he had not been part of any storylines and definitely wasn't involved in any physicality. However, this recent attack probably indicates that Tony will be front and center for the first time ever in the promotion.

During a recent episode of Sportskeeds Wrestling's SmackTalk podcast, Dutch Mantell suggested that AEW could keep this storyline going for a long time. He also suggested that Khan could form his own team to face The Elite.

"You know for how long they can carry this angle? At least six to nine months. Atleast! Don't speed it up. You've got 1-2-3-4 you know. Now you have Tony Khan getting his team together. Getting his guys that support him. And now you got it. So you put it down all on a piece of paper and see what you got. Hell, they got too much right now with no talking about it much," said Dutch Mantell. [13:09 - 13:39]
