AEW has assembled some of the best high flyers in wrestling today.

AEW has become the hottest promotion in wrestling today due to their entertaining weekly television and a stellar roster of performers. They have a nice blend of established names and young rising stars. Their roster features technical wrestlers, powerful hosses and some spectacular high flyers.

These high flyers typically highlight and amaze audiences in the building and watching from home. The way they soar through the air is seamless and always finds a way to be talked about for days after their matches on AEW Dynamite. There are tag teams like Private Party that show off amazing arsenals as well as singles stars like Matt Sydal that still show that they can fly like no other.

Across wrestling, brilliant high flying stars have become sparse and thus stand out even more than in years past. In this article, let's take a look at the five best high-flying wrestlers on the current roster in AEW.

#5 Nick Jackson - AEW

The Young Bucks are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions and considered one of the greatest tag teams of the past decade. Although their brilliance as a duo is undenable, some might not acknowledge that Nick Jackson on his own is an exceptional high flyer.

The younger of the two Jackson brothers usually comes in to showcase his aerial brilliance. His hot tags are among the best in the business today. He is so crisp and smooth with his high flying that it is almost not praised enough. When he is in the ring with other high flying teams in AEW like Private Party and Top Flight, Jackson steps it up even more to show why he needs to be in this conversation.

Although Nick Jackson is often the highlight of their tag team exploits, Nick has had minimal opportunities to showcase his skills in singles competitions for AEW or their time on the independent scene.Despite limited chances, Nick Jackson put on a high-flying masterpiece against Rey Fenix on the November 20th, 2019 AEW Dynamite. It was state-of-the-art action that had to be seen to be believed.

Even though The Young Bucks will always be among the best tag teams in the world, it seems that due to their greatness Nick Jackson will not get the credit that he deserves for his ability in the ring. It makes some fans want to see what he can do with a singles run. Fans might never see that run, but they must give Nick his due as an impressive aerial expert.

#4 PAC - AEW

When AEW was first launched, they looked to sign the best performers in the entire wrestling business. One of the first signings was PAC. The former Neville has long been a standout due to his superior high flying ability. He is one of the most fluid aerial artists to ever step foot in a squared circle.

PAC's Black Arrow finisher is one of the most gorgeous high-flying maneuvers ever in the business. The cockscrew shooting star press is something that maybe two percent of wrestlers can execute. He also possesses a beautiful 450 splash that is shocking whenever he performs it. AEW would be hard-pressed to find a better high flyer than PAC.

PAC's Death Triangle stable has some of the most gifted performers in all of AEW. When you team with the Lucha Brothers, you have to do more stuff in the ring to distinguish yourself. When PAC made the jump to the Cruiserweight division in WWE, he shifted his style in a lot of ways. Despite still being a genius in the air, "The Bastard" proved that he could do much more.

PAC is an amazing technical wrestler who has a multitude of submissions at his disposal. His Brutalizer submission is similar to the Rings of Saturn, but PAC's own personal twist to it. He has won more with this finisher than the Black Arrow. That's why he's lower on this list than he would have been in past years.

#3 Darby Allin - AEW

Darby Allin is one of the most popular stars in AEW. His dark, skateboarding persona makes him the most enigmatic superstar in the industry today. The different elements of his characters attract fans of all ages and gender. Above all else, his daredevil, high-flying in-ring style is what stands out the most about Allin.

The way Darby uses his body as a weapon makes him very unique to the other high flyers in wrestling. He is not as smooth as Ricochet or John Morrison, but there is a physical intensity and violence behind his high flying arsenal that is unlike anyone ever before him.

Darby Allin's Coffin Drop finisher has become one of the defining moves of AEW. Whether it is from the top rope to an opponent in the ring or his killer nail in the coffin on Ethan Page, it is a move that has become synonymous with Darby as well as Dynamite. He has used the move to reach new heights in his career, including winning the TNT Championship.

Darby's never-say-die attitude is connected to his high flying escapades and has only raised his stock in the business overall. AEW probably has high flyers who are more glamorous with their moves, but none have gained the popularity for their aerial onslaught quite like Darby Allin.

#2 Sammy Guevara - AEW

Since the start of AEW Dynamite, the Inner Circle stable has been at the forefront of some of the promotion's top feuds. Chris Jericho is arguably the biggest signing in All Elite Wrestling's history. Jake Hager is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and holds name recognition. Santana & Ortiz are one of the premier tag teams in the business today.

Although every man in the group besides one has made a name for themselves before AEW, Sammy Guevara has proven to be the breakout star for the group. His brash cockiness helped to separate himself from the rest of the faction, but it was his awe-inspiring high-flying that really showed why he has become a can't miss athlete in the promotion.

Guevara soars through the sky with seamless precision. His over-the-top rope dives are tremendous to watch and have stolen the show on more than one occasion. Sammy does a springboard cutter better than anyone in the business and has even broken out a springboard Canadian Destroyer that is astounding.

The signature 630 splash that Sammy Guevara executes is one of a kind. Every time he breaks it out, it leaves the audience with their jaws dropped. His high-flying excellence is top notch. He is on par with Ricochet and Will Ospreay for his fluidness through the air. AEW only has one athlete that can keep up with or perform high flying offense better than Guevara.

#1 Rey Fenix - AEW

There is no wrestler on the AEW roster quite like Rey Fenix. He blazed a trail from Mexico to IMPACT Wrestling before coming to All Elite Wrestling. Fenix stands out whether it's in singles, tag teams or multi-man competition. The luchador has stunned fans across the world with his fantastic high flying abilities. His skills are unmatched by anyone in All Elite Wrestling or anyone in the business today.

Rey Fenix is a genius in the air and seems to come up with a brand new innovative offense every single matchup that he has. The level of creativity on display during his contests is remarkable. His Lucha Brothers tag team with brother Penta El Zero Miedo has put on some of breathtaking encounters in his two years with AEW.

The Escalara De La Muerte Ladder Match with The Young Bucks at All Out 2019 still stands as one of the most outstanding matches in the company's history. Rey Fenix and Nick Jackson put on a high-flying extraganza against one another in the early days of AEW Dynamite as well. Some of his aerial feats have caused him injury, but when Fenix executes it perfectly, it is phenomenal.

This year, Rey Fenix has showcased on several occasions why he is the best high flyer in the world. On the January 6th AEW Dynamite, his AEW World Championship Match against Kenny Omega was a spell binding clash that had inventive sequences. His showdown with Lance Archer was a dazzling main event that made both men look like the main eventers they are.

Fenix has also performed marvelously in tag team action in 2021 as well. His tag team with Death Triangle teammate PAC has proven to be just as impressive as the Lucha Bros. PAC and Rey Fenix put on an all-time AEW Dynamite classic against The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the April 14th episode.

Rey Fenix blends out of this world aerial onslaught with lucha libre-based sequences that make him not just an excellent high flyer, but also one of the best wrestlers in the world. He reminds many pro wrestling fans of young Rey Mysterio. He has even drawn that comparison from Mysterio himself. That's why Rey Fenix is the best high-flying wrestler on the current AEW roster.
