NBA Career

Alfred Horford was selected by the means of the Atlanta Hawks on June 28, 2007, as the third overall pick within the 2007 NBA draft. Later, on July 9, he signed a rookie scale contract with this team and continued playing for the franchise. During his nine years career with this NBA group, Alfred participated in several NBA championships against numerous teams. He extended his ongoing contract with the team for five years, on November 1, 2010. This contract extension was worth $60 million contract extension.

The 2012-13 season was considered the golden period of Alfred’s basketball career. During this season, he performed in all 74 games, mostly as a starter. His averages during this season have been his career-high with 17.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Thereafter, he overall had a good performance with this NBA team till July 2016. Alfred signed a four-year contract with the Boston Celtics on July 8 which was worth $113 million. He played his first match with this team against the Brooklyn Nets on October 26. Alfred Horford played almost three years with this team before moving to the Philadelphia 76ers on July 10, 2019.

Al Horford signed a four-year settlement with this team but just played a single season there and was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 8, 2020. He debuted for this team on December 26 in a match against the Charlotte Hornets. After a lone season, Alfred again joined the Boston Celtics via trade by his previous team on June 18, 2021. He led the team to matches against several NBA teams in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in 2022. The same year, Alfred Horford guided the team to their first-ever NBA Finals on May 29. He signed a two-year contract with the same organization on December 1, 2022, and now performs for the same team in the National Basketball Association.
