
Dillion Brooks is a professional Canadian basketball shooting guard/small forward for the Houston Rockets in 2025 NBA season. Brooks's basketball journey began during his high school days, as he attended the Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School. After finishing high school, he decided to attend the University of Oregon and play college basketball for the Oregon Ducks men's basketball team. As a freshman, he averaged 11.5 points per game and was also named to the Pac-12 All-Conference freshman team in the first season of his collegiate career. In his sophomore year with the Oregon Ducks, Brooks led the Ducks Brooks led the Oregon Ducks to the Pac-12 Conference regular season title along with a top ten ranking in the nation. Brooks was also honored as the District IX player of the year by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
In his junior year with the Ducks, Brooks suffered a serious injury and missed a large part of the season. After his third season at college, Brooks declared for the 2017 NBA draft, where he was selected as the 45th pick in the second round of the NBA draft by the Rockets, who traded him to the Grizzlies on the draft night. He played for six seasons with the Grizzlies before returning to the team that originally drafted him, the Houston Rockets.
