Hunter Sallis is an American basketball player who is a draft prospect in the 2024 draft class. He plays for Wake Forest University in Nebraska as a part of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Prior to playing for Wake Forest, Sallis played for Gonzaga University. Sallis became prominent in the youth basketball world while he was in high school at Millard North High School. Sallis led his high school team to winning the Class A State title. This marked the school's first state title ever. Sallis recorded 1,819 points throughout his high school career which is the third highest point tally in Nebraska Class A basketball. At the end of his high school career, Sallis was a 5-star recruit.

Sallis initially committed to play for Gonzaga University and played there for a period of two years before transferring to Wake Forest University. At Wake Forest, Sallis was able to develop his game as a basketball player, setting new career records and winning multiple accolades such as being named to the All-ACC First Team.

Sallis declared that he would be appearing for the 2024 NBA draft while still maintaining his college eligibility with Wake Forest University. This means that Sallis would be entering the draft to gauge his prospects and could return to college in order to improve or if he feels that it would be the best option at the time.
