Isaiah Stewart is an American center and power forward who plays for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. Stewart is notable for being a member of the All-Rookie Second Team in 2021 and also won the gold for Team USA at the 2018 FIBA World U17 Cup in Argentina.

Now in his fourth NBA season, Stewart played 50 games in the 2022/23 season and averaged 11.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He shot 44.2% from the field, including 32.7% from deep. For his recent performances, the Pistons rewarded Stewart with a four-year $60 million extension in July 2023.

Isaiah Stewart Trade

Isaiah Stewart was originally drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 16th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. However, he was traded on November 22, 2020 to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Robert Covington. Then on November 24, 2020, the Houston Rockets traded Stewart to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Christian Wood, a protected future first-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick.

Isaiah Stewart started his NBA career with the Detroit Pistons on December 1, 2020 and represented the team ever since. Throughout four seasons and 214 games so far, Stewart is averaging 9.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game so far. He is shooting 49.5% from the field, including 33.7% from deep so far in his career.

Isaiah Stewart College Career

Isaiah Stewart enrolled at the University of Washington and played collegiate basketball for the Washington Huskies. Future NBA player Jaden McDaniels was his teammate in college.

Stewart played just one season in college and averaged 17.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in 32 games. After the end of the season, he was named on the First-team All-Pac 12 in 2020.
