
James Monteinez Wiseman, also known as James Wiseman, is an American professional basketball player who played for the Indiana Pacers of the NBA. As of May 16, 2025, he has appeared in 148 NBA games scoring 1,350 points, grabbing 830 rebounds and blocking 102 shots so far as a center. As of May 2025, he is a free agent.
Wiseman went to Ensworth School for high school and was soon named among the top 25 players in the recruiting class of 2020. He helped his high school team reach the semifinals of the Division II-AA of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association, for which he was named MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honorable mention. He also represented the United States in the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina, where he averaged 11.4 points and five rebounds per game, helping his team secure the gold medal. Wiseman played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers but only appeared in three games, averaging 19.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, and three blocks per game.
