Josh Okogie is a 6 ‘4’’ Nigerian Basketball player who plays for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. He attended Georgia Tech for his college career and played there for two seasons before getting drafted in the first-round by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2018 Okogie made an early entry into the team's starting line-up as Butler was traded out from the Wolves.

While being a leading scorer for Georgia Tech, he averaged 18.2 points but was not able to replicate his eye-dropping performance in his professional Career. He only averaged 7.7 points with less than 3 rebounds per game in 74 games in the 2018-19 season.

The Nigerian guard played his initial four years of stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves before being dealt to the Phoenix Suns in 2022. Okogie was assigned a two-way role, helping the Suns along both ends in support of the team’s guns like Kevin Durant and shooter Devin Booker.

This season, the Suns’ guard holds a great responsibility on his shoulder as the team's leading scorer Bradley Beal is ruled out due to a back injury. Okogie has also donned the Nigerian Jersey several times, the most recent being in the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.
