Standing at an impressive 6'10" with a lethal shooting touch, he started playing basketball at Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School and then transferred to Nathan Hale High School in Seattle. During his final year of high school, Porter Jr. led his team to the Washington Class 3A State Championship.
