The talented star spent most of his career on the European courts. He did play in the NBA, making his debut with the San Antonio Spurs team. He was selected by the Spurs in the 2009 NBA draft. But he had to return to Europe to play with the Spanish side Valencia. He did return to the NBA in 2012. After a season and a half with the Spurs, he played for the Raptors too. With minimal game time, Colo did make a remarkable contribution to his team’s success.

While his NBA journey was short-lived, Nando De Colo did make a massive impact on the European teams. Playing in 4 different teams, Colo won 2 Euro Cup Championships and a Euro League MVP award. 2016 was the best career year for Frenchman. He won his 1st Euro title and was named All-Europe Player of the Year in 2016. Winning the MVP award in the tournament, De Colo remained a top European star. Averaging 18 points, 1 steal, 3.5 assists and 3 rebounds per game in his European career Colo became one of the prominent names in the circle.

Playing on the international stage Is not new for De Colo. He has won the silver medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while Bronze Medal is the last FIBA World Cup Edition.

Helping the French team conquer Europe in the 2013 EuroBasket tournament, Nando De Colo maintained his status as a superstar in the team. The 36-year-old star is named in France’s star-studded Basketball team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, where they are one of the favourites for the gold medal.
