“You the reason he playing this good”: Bucks fans hail Damian Lillard admirer GloRilla as she reacts to All-Star’s scorching night

Basketball fans react to rapper GloRilla's tweet following Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard's 35-point explosion in the first half against the Indiana Pacers.

GloRilla’s interest in Damian Lillard hasn’t wavered one bit since expressing it on X, formerly Twitter, back in February. The rapper had a photo taken with Lillard along with his 3-point shootout trophy during the NBA All-Star weekend. She didn’t hold back later and said that she “wanted him.”

On Sunday, the rapper monitored the Milwaukee Bucks’ first-round series against the Indiana Pacers. Lillard opened the Game 1 encounter with a dazzling 35-point first half that was highlighted by 3-for-9 shooting from the deep. “Dame Time” had Fiserv Forum rocking even without Giannis Antetokounmpo on the home floor.

GloRilla didn’t say anything on X but used a handful of “fire” emojis in appreciation of the Bucks superstar's first 24 minutes.

Fans quickly reacted:

“You the reason he playing this good”

A fan couldn’t resist bringing D’Angelo Russell into the discussion:

“Whatever you did to Dame can you plz do it to DLo tonight
“I will do anything”

@Crumbletakes suggested something bolder:

“You have to sit court side game 2
“Do it for him”

@Blunso34 just had something simple to say:

“Thank you.”

The talks surrounding GloRilla and Damian Lillard only intensified recently following the “Ehhthang Ehhthang” singer’s DUI arrest roughly a week ago. When news broke that she was arrested and later released on a bond, Kay’La Lillard, the basketball star’s wife, took a shot at the rapper.

Lillard’s estranged wife hopped on Instagram, shared the GloRilla's mug shot and wrote: “Free GloLillard [laugh emoji] #sisterwife”

The “Yeah Glo!” creator responded by showing off a custom-made “GloLillard” jersey while dancing to a rap beat.

GloRilla and basketball fans’ reaction to Damian Lillard’s Game 1 performance might have come too early

Damian Lillard was untouchable in the first half against the Indiana Pacers. He launched 3-pointers, a few of them 25-footers, with swagger and disdain at the Pacers’ defense. For 24 minutes, the Milwaukee Bucks seemingly didn’t miss Giannis Antetokounmpo’s presence.

The second half was quite the opposite for “Dame Time.” Indiana, who was likely embarrassed by his performance, refused to let Lillard continue to cook them. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle sent aggressive double teams every time the point guard had the ball.

After attempting 19 first-half field goals, Lillard was limited to five, including two from deep, in the next 24 minutes. The strategy worked, as Lillard’s blistering stroke left him, forcing the Bucks to beat the Indiana Pacers behind somebody else’s hands.

GloRilla and many basketball fans may have reacted too quickly to Damian Lillard’s first-half explosion. He couldn’t follow up with an encore but still guided the Bucks to a 109-94 Game 1 win.
