Born on September 11, 2002, in Beverly Hills, California, Peyton Watson plays in the guard-forward role for the Denver Nuggets. He ended his rookie season as an NBA champion, winning the 2023 championship with the Nuggets.

In his early years, Watson played for the Long Beach Polytechnic high school, making the varsity team as a freshman. In his junior season, he averaged 23.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, and was awarded the Moore League MVP honors. He was also named on the rosters for the McDonald's All-American, Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit.

For college, Watson committed to UCLA, and was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top small forwards of his class.

In the 2023/24 NBA season, Watson showed rapid development, leading the Nuggets in blocks with 88 shots blocked and 14th in the NBA. He averaged 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks per game, and has established himself as a favorite in Mile High City.
