Tyrese Haliburton is a professional basketball Point Guard who plays for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA as of May 2025. Halibutron was drafted as the 12th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. In his rookie season, Haliburton played 58 games and averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game. After playing two and a half seasons with the Kings, Halibutron was traded to the Pacers in February 2024. In his first season (2022-23) with the Indiana Pacers, Haliburton averaged 20.7 points, 10.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game. He was named to the NBA All-Star team twice in the seasons 2022-23 and 2023-24.

Before joining the NBA, Haliburton went to Iowa State for his college career. He played for two seasons from 2018 to 2020. In two seasons of college basketball, Haliburton averaged 10.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. In the 2019-20 season, Haliburton was selected to the second team All-Big 12.

After being selected by the Sacramento Kings, Haliburton played two and a half seasons for the Sacramento Kings. During his time with the Kings, he averaged 13.6 points, 6.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Once considered untouchable in the team, Haliburton was then part of a mega-deal that shook the franchise’s landscape. He was traded to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Domantas Sabonis. But the move proved beneficial for the young star, who found a regular starting role with the Pacers, averaging a career-best 20.7 points and 10.5 assists per game in the 2022-23 season. Whereas in the 2023-34 season, Haliburton led the Indiana Pacers to the Eastern Conference Final after 10 years. He averaged 20.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game in 69 games. The Pacers defeated the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs, but fell short to the Boston Celtics in the Conference Finals. In the 2024-25 season, the Indiana Pacers, led by Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, have looked different and are the underdogs of the Eastern Conference.
