Strawther was drafted as the 29th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft. However, he was traded to the Denver Nuggets on July 6, 2023. Strawther played in 65 games and averaged 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in the 2024-25 regular season.
Strawther studied at Liberty High School, where he was considered a four-star prospect in the class of 2020. He averaged 31.5 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in the senior year of his prep career. He played college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs from 2020 to 2023 and was named to the All-WCC First Team in 2023, according to the official NBA website.
