On January 20, 2004, Anthony was born in Las Colinas, Texas, U.S. Initially, he attended the Coppell high school for his high school basketball where as a junior, he averaged 16.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. He was regarded as a five-star recruit and joined Arkansas for his college basketball, declining the offers from Oklahoma State, and Gonzaga.
