Murray underwent surgery to repair his torn ACL on April 21st, 2021. As reported by Sportsnet, Dr. Neal ElAttrache at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles performed the surgery on Murray's torn ACL. Due to this surgery, Murray was out for the remaining 2021-22 season and also missed the entire 2022-23 season.
After one and a half years out, Jamal Murray eventually returned to the court on October 19th, 2022. It was Nugget’s season opener game against the Utah Jazz.
Even after a devastating ACL injury, Jamal Murray kept his focus in rehab and continued working hard. He eventually made a comeback and won the NBA championship in 2023.
