At Arizona, his college career started great as he had three consecutive 20-point, 10-rebound games. The Denver Nuggets selected him with the 22nd pick of the first round in the 2020 NBA Draft. In the 2024–25 season, Nnaji is in his fifth season with Denver, earning $8,888,889, in the first year of a four-year deal. Off the court, Nnaji is also a musician, composing and playing piano since first grade.
