Cam Ward is a quarterback who played college football with three different programs. Cam Ward attended and played football at Columbia High School, where, as a junior, he recorded 72 of 124 passes for 1,070 yards and seven touchdowns.

As a junior, Cam had an average of only 12 pass attempts per game due to playing in Columbia High's Wing T offense. The player got his only scholarship offer when he decided to play for the University of the Incarnate Word to start his college football career. Cam was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year following his performance as a sophomore, passing for 4,648 yards and 47 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. Ward played for Washington State in the 2022-23 season before he announced his commitment to the Miami Hurricanes on January 13, 2024. In the 2024 season, Ward passed for 4,313 yards on 454 attempts to go along with 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions (via ESPN).
