Luke Lachey is an American tight end who spent five years with the Iowa Hawkeyes, representing the University of Iowa in the Big Ten Conference. He was born on June 29, 2001, and stands at 6 foot 6 inches and weighs 251 pounds. Luke attended Grandview Heights High School in Grandview Heights, Ohio, where he played as a wide receiver, tight end, and defensive back. Lachey was offered admissions from Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, West Virginia Mountaineers, Minnesota Golden Gophers, LSU Tigers, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets but decided to commit to the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2020.

Lachey’s first year with the Iowa Hawkeyes saw him redshirt in 2020 before competing in 13 games in 2021, including three starts. In the 2022 season, Luke Lachey again appeared in 13 games, with six starts in that season, and recorded 398 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He is a CLAS non-degree major at the University of Iowa and has earned a bachelor’s degree in enterprise leadership. He has been a three-sport athlete for a long time, participating in football, basketball, and track, as per Iowa Hawkeyes' official website.
