He played in 11 games with five starts and five sacks, ranking him second on the team. He was also ranked third on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss for 52 yards. Williams recorded five tackles, a 23-yard sack, and another forced fumble against UMass, securing SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors. He also picked up two sacks and a forced fumble in Georgia's SEC Championship victory against Texas. His season-best five quarterback pressures were against South Carolina and four against Texas. Williams was also honored with preseason awards from the AP, USA Today, and SEC Coaches.
