Almost looked like we had another golden ball but a cracking finish for Roma CC in the end to make it even against Asian Latina CC. They didn't start off the chase well, losing a wicket in the powerplay and not getting runs as well but it was their skipper, Prabath, who got them back into the game with a quick-fire 18-ball 32. They were looking just about fine until the sixth over but they lost crucial wickets again as Asian Latina CC did well with the ball to keep themselves in the game.
It looked like they would get away with the game but some really poor bowling at the death which they will regret, costing them the game in the end. Senevirathne and Pruthuvi getting together in the end to get them past the line, off the very last ball as they held their nerves to finish the game in style. Roma CC living on some close games here but at the end, what matter is the win and they have won everything that they have played today.
Asian Latina will not be happy with the way the game ended as they lose only their second game in the tournament so far. They did really well to comeback in the game with the ball after having posted a modest total. All of it going in vain though and as they failed to close out the game as they would have liked to!
What a cracking finish to this game! Going right down the wire, until the last ball and some poor bowling in the end helping Roma come back to win this game. High intensity drama in the final over and this time around, Roma CC will have their revenge with a thrilling win!
