Pakistan CC 72/9 (10) lose to Austrian Cricket Tigers by 47 runs

Muhammad Qasim 20(13) | Ahsan Yousuf 3-9(2)
Imran Asif 2-5(2) | Adal Afzal 2-6(1)

A horrific batting performance from the Pakistan CC breaks their unbeaten streak in this edition of the ECS. The Tigers have won the game and in grand fashion too. Almost a perfect outing for them both with the bat and the ball. After a massive first over, the chase went nowhere as the skipper shouldered responsibility and immediately made an impact after bringing himself into the attack in the second over. Pakistan CC kept losing wickets in clumps and in the end, it proved to be too big a mountain to climb for them as they succumbed by 47 runs. Spin was the way to go on this pitch, with the Tigers' spinners sharing 4 wickets between them. Imran Asif's spell played an integral part too and iii was only Balwinder Singh who missed out on a wicket in this game. A huge defeat and it will go on to hurt their net run-rate quite a bit. They will have to go back to the drawing board before the next game against this very opposition and formulate a better plan to tackle the Tigers threat. Meanwhile, after picking up their first win yesterday, the Tigers have cruised to another victory and might as well have moved to the top of the table with this. They will look to get some winning momentum going now as they attempt to consolidate their position in the top half of the table.

9.2 Adal Afzal to Sikandar Hayat, ANOTHER WICKET! Fuller outside off, batter hits it well to long-off by stepping out and long-off takes a stunning forward-diving CATCH!
Sikander Hayat c U Tariq b A Afzal 6 (6b 1x4s 0x6s)
9.1 Adal Afzal to Sikandar Hayat, full toss outside off, loopy, and a miscue to square-leg results in no run.
Adal Afzal, left arm orthodox, is into the attack

Finishes with a three-year does the skipper and Pakistan CC need 54 runs off the last over. This has been a poor batting performance from them so far and this might be the perfect time for the Tigers to try out a part-time bowler.
