  • Key Points
  • The South Castries Lions have a chance to make the top two with a win from this encounter, and so the onus will be on the experienced names such as Johnson Charles and Daren Sammy to lead the way for their side. The Soufriere Sulphur, on the other hand, have only pride to play for since they have remained winless from three matches. However, with nothing to lose for the Sulphur, expect them to hand out a stiff challenge to the Lions.

South Castries Lions need just the one victory to seal their spot in the top four on the points table, while the Soufriere Sulphur will be playing for pride. The Sulphur side has lost all their matches thus far, and they will want to finish off their St Lucia T10 Blast campaign with a win.
So that's it from Match 19 of St  Lucia. From myself, Sarthak Karkhanis and my colleague Shashwat Kumar we sign off. Ciao!
So that last over wasn't quite something which we expected to be but Sulphir gave a  great fight to the Lions, thanks to a  partnership Mesmain and Tisson. The duo made sure, SS stand a chance till the last over despite early wickets for SCL as they reduced the batting side for 33-3 at one stage. But some sixes and helped by some extras made sure SS were in the game for a major part of the match. For SCL bowled at an economy of 6.5 but the rest conceded at more than 9 RPO.
9.6 Kester Charlermagne to Bradley Tisson, OUT! Slower delivery outside off and Tisson is way too early into his shot. He swings at it anyway and gets a top edge that is pouched safely by the keeper.
9.5 Kester Charlermagne to Sanjay Pamphile, OUT! Sanjay has been put out of his misery! Short outside off and Sanjay looks to clatter it over point for a maximum. But, he does not get enough wood on it and Tarryck Gabriel comes in from the fence at point and completes a superb tumbling catch.
9.4 Kester Charlermagne to Sanjay Pamphile, back of a length delivery outside off and the ball is past Sanjay, even as he tries to dab it away for a single.
9.3 Kester Charlermagne to Sanjay Pamphile, short and outside off and Sanjay again misses as he looks to heave it away into the leg side.
9.2 Kester Charlermagne to Sanjay Pamphile, sharp back of a length delivery that fizzes past the bat of Sanjay. Excellent choice of delivery to the batsman.
9.2 Kester Charlermagne to Sanjay Pamphile, well outside off stump and signaled a wide by the umpire.
9.1 Kester Charlermagne to Bradley Tisson, length delivery outside off and Tisson hammers it down to long on for one.
19 runs of the penultimate over as SC need 23 runs in the last over. They were helped by extras and some undisciplined bowling but boy they have capitalized as well. Nail-bting last over coming up as Tisson's on strike
8.6 Xavier Gabriel to Shani Mesmain, OUT! You miss, I hit! Sharp yorker at the stumps and Mesmain looks to clout it over the on side. But, he plays across the wrong line and hears the death rattle soon after. Much needed breakthrough for the bowling side. More importantly though, it is also a dot ball.
8.5 Xavier Gabriel to Shani Mesmain, slower delivery on a length and Mesmain is a couple of days early into his shot. He looks for the slog over the leg side but fails to make contact. Vital dot delivery.
8.5 Xavier Gabriel to Shani Mesmain, wayward again and that is another wide.
8.5 Xavier Gabriel to Shani Mesmain, down the leg side and some more exercise for the umpire.
8.4 Xavier Gabriel to Bradley Tisson, angled into the pads and the ball strikes Tisson on the hips as he scampers across for a leg bye.
8.3 Xavier Gabriel to Bradley Tisson, SIX! Right in the hitting arc and Tisson bludgeons it way over mid-wicket for a maximum. Things are getting rather interesting here!
8.2 Xavier Gabriel to Bradley Tisson, FOUR BYES! Tisson gives himself room and the bowler follows him with a sharp yorker. The batsman misses it and soe does the keeper.
8.1 Xavier Gabriel to Shani Mesmain, length delivery outside off and the ball smacks Mesmain on the hips. Tisson is aware of the possibility of a single and gets across to the other end.
8.1 Xavier Gabriel to Shani Mesmain, FIVE WIDES! Criminal from the bowler! Way down the leg side and in fact, it is so wide that Charles can't even lay a glove on it.
19 runs off that over and this partnership between Mesmain and Tisson is giving hopes to the SC team. They are 85-3 after 8 overs and require 42 runs in 12 balls
