Allen Lazard is an American Football wide receiver for the New York Jets. The 6 ft 5 in wideout went undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft and later signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent. Revisiting the early years of Lazard’s life, he was born in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on December 11, 1995, Lazard attended Urbandale High School where he was a four-year starter on both offense and defense. Lazard was also voted the USA Today All-American, the Offensive Player of the Year in 2013, and Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, and has three All-State selections to his name. Just like his brother, Anthony, and father, Kevin, Lazard too played for the Iowa State Cyclones.

He played college football for the Iowa State Cyclones football team at Iowa State University. In his 4 years at Iowa State, Lazard went on to play 48 games for the Cyclones, in which he tallied 3,360 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns. Since entering the NFL, Lazard has played for 2 different teams Green Bay Packers and New York Jets as of 2024. In his six seasons, he has accumulated more than 2,500 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. He has more than 500 receiving yards in two seasons: 2021 and 2022. He had a career-best year in 2022, where he went on to catch 60 balls for 788 yards. That season was a big factor in him getting a 4-year contract worth $48 million from the New York Jets in 2023.
