American football executive and lawyer Arthur Joseph Rooney II is the owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He took over the NFL team in May 2003 after serving as the vice president for years. Rooney II is also on several NFL boards and is the chairman of the NFL’s stadium committee as well. During his reign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rooney II had won two Super Bowls (XL, XLIII) as of October 2024. He also holds an Of Counsel position in a law firm serving the Pittsburgh community with several organisations.

Rooney II was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1952. His father, Arthur Rooney Sr. was the founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and is also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Rooney II graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in B.A. before attending Duquesne University’s School of Law. He is married to Greta and the couple have four children together.
