Chase Young is an American football defensive end for the New Orleans Saints as of the 2024 NFL season. The Washington Commanders selected him as the second overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Before joining the Saints in 2024, he excelled as a defensive end for both the San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Commanders. He was born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Before finishing his secondary education at DeMatha Catholic High School, he also attended St. Columba School and St. Vincent Pallotti High School. After graduation, he committed to playing college football for Ohio State University.
