American football wide receiver Davante Levell Adams plays for the New York Jets as of October 2024. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers as a second-round pick (53rd overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft. Adams started 11 games appearing in all 16 regular season games in his rookie year. He had 38 receptions for 446 yards. Adams led the league with 18 receiving touchdowns in the 2020 season. After eight seasons and 116 appearances, Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. In his debut year with the Raiders, Adams led the league for the second time with 14 receiving touchdowns. He was traded to the New York Jets on October 15, 2024.

Growing up in California, Adams attended Palo Alto High School. He won the CIF State championship as a senior in high school. Adams had 64 receptions for 1,094 yards and scored 12 touchdowns that season. Adams was a versatile player who could also contribute as a cornerback at times. He committed to California State University in 2011. Adams won the Paul Warfield Trophy, Second Team All-America nomination and First Team All-MW all in his senior year in 2013.

Davante Adams has had a rough time with injuries since his draft in 2014. Even Though Adams has been out of the league due to injury for very few games given a decade-long career, he has sustained a few heavy blows. He has had ankle problems and a few concussions leading to missing out on game time. However, Adams did not miss a game due to injury for three seasons straight from 2021 to 2024 before pulling his hamstring in 2024.

Pedal Ankle Sprain/Pull Unspecified Grade 1 (2015)

After suffering a left ankle injury in Week 2, Adams was able to play the next week. He missed the next three games after aggravating his ailment in that one.

Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 (2016)

Adams sustained a grade 1 concussion in Week 6 of the 2016 season. He returned for the Thursday night kickoff of Week 7 after entering the concussion protocol according to Draftsharks.

Pedal Ankle Sprain Grade 2 (2015)

Adams was diagnosed with a Grade 2 sprained ankle after being taken off the field in September 2015. Four weeks later, he was back, but he was still not fully recovered.

Knee MCL Sprain Grade 2 (2016)

Adams missed the following week's playoff loss due to an MCL strain in his right knee according to Dradtsharks.

Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 (2017)

Adams was struck by Panthers LB Thomas Davis, resulting in his second concussion of the season. He missed the last two games of the 2017 season according to Draftsharks.

After being struck by Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan in the third quarter, Adams suffered a concussion. Adams came back for the next match.

Knee Strain Grade 1 (2018)

In the first quarter of Week 16, Adams sustained an unidentified injury to his right knee according to Draftsharks. He claimed that after playing through it, it stiffened up and he was unable to attend the finale.

Pedal Toe Sprain (2019)

Adams missed four games after suffering a turf toe injury during a Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles according to Draftsharks.

Thigh Hamstring Strain Grade 2 (2020)

Adams played against the Lions in Week 2 injuring his hamstring. He missed the next two games in the 2020 season.

Pedal Ankle Sprain/ Pull Unspecified Grade 1(2020)
