Derrick Henry is an American football running back who plays for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 NFL seaason. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round (45th pick) of the 2016 NFL Draft. Henry started two games while appearing 16 in his rookie year for the Titans. He became a regular starter for the Titans in his third year in the league, as he recorded 215 rushing attempts for 1,059 yards. Since his draft in 2016, Henry has been to five-time Pro Bowls and was also named NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2020. After eight years with the Titans, Henry penned a two-year $16,000,000 contract with the Ravens in 2024, as per Spotrac.

Growing up in Florida, Henry attended Yulee High School. In his high school career, he played in 48 games recording 1,397 attempts for a record-breaking 12,124 yards. Henry committed to the University of Alabama playing for the Crimson Tide from 2013 to 2015. Henry played in 39 college games and recorded 3,591 rushing yards on 602 carries. He was the recipient of the 2015 Heisman Trophy after a breakout junior campaign with the Crimson Tide, as per Crimson Tide's official website.

Leg Calf Strain (2016)

Henry’s second major injury came in the year he was drafted in 2016 (via ESPN). He suffered a strained calf in pregame warmups against the Chargers.

Thigh Hamstring Grade 2 (2019)

Henry sustained a pulled hamstring in Grade 2 in his rushing title-winning season (via DraftSharks). Henry picked up the injury during practice, which prevented him from playing in the Saints' Week 16 match.

Pedal Foot Fracture (2021)

Henry fractured a part of his foot for the second time in the NFL in 2021 (via DraftSharks). At the age of 27, he broke his pedal foot in Week 8’s win over Colts in 2021. Henry spent a while on the Injury Reserve list missing out on nine games that season.

Head Cranial (2023)

Henry suffered a head injury during the 2023 NFL season. In Week 13’s game against the Colts, the Veteran went through a head cranial (via DraftSharks). However, it was later specified that the running back had not suffered a concussion and was back on the pitch the following week.
