One of the most famous teams in the NFL the Houston Texans is a professional American football team which is based in Houston. The Texans were founded in the Year 1999 and were owned by Bob McNair. The Texans in 1999 were founded to replace the old NFL franchise named Houston Oilers.

The Texans as of now are the youngest expanding team in the entire NFL. The team made their long-awaited debut in the NFL on September 8 2002 in the 2002 AFC-NFC Hall of Fame Game against the Dallas Cowboys. Texans during their early years struggled to hang with the best teams but in upcoming years mainly in the 2010s, their hard work started paying off, when in 2011 the Texans secured their first playoffs by winning their first ever first division championship. Although the Texans kept improving season after season and won many more AFC South division championships in the upcoming years, they still are the only team who have never been able to win a single playoff game. The Texans also have never been able to make their way to the Super Bowl.

The Texans have been embraced by many world-famous celebrities, the team has widely gained support from everywhere. Despite not winning any playoff games and not being able to participate in the Super Bowl their fans have never given up hope. The Texans are still the newest team in the NFL even though they have not yet found the success that they are looking for but there is no doubt that the way they are moving forwards the Houston Texans are the future Super Bowl Champions.

The official mascot of the Houston Texans is Toro. Toro was introduced by the Houston Texans in 2001 and since then he has become one of the top mascots in the entire league. Toro does not appear in only NFL games but he also does hilarious skits on social media, high-flying stunts and many other engaging kinds of stuff thus making him one of the best mascots in this franchise.

Toro has become one of the most famous mascots because of his special and hilarious social media presence has gained over 1.5 million followers on all the social media handles combined. The Texans mascot Toro has been selected to the Pro Bowl 11 times. Toro's special focus when he is not occupied with game days is to make a significant impact on the local community through his special elementary school programs. But don't just think that Toro is not only a local mascot if you think that you might be wrong, Toro not only makes at least 400 appearances in the entire year all over Houston but has also traveled around the world to countries like England, Mexico, Canada, and many other international countries.

In an interview Johnson said that he got his inspiration in 5th grade when the mascot of the Kansas City Chiefs visited his school, he stated that to him that was one of the coolest jobs in the world and when I put on the costume myself, I instantly knew that this is the right career for me. Toro was selected for the NFL Mascot of the Year in 2020, he was presented with this award because of his efforts during the pandemic to start virtual classroom visits which positively affected the lives of many young students and the idea was adopted by all the sports mascots in the entire country.
