Jarquez Hunter is an American football running back who played college football for the Auburn Tigers in the 2024-2025 season. Hailing from Philadelphia, Mississippi, Jarquez Hunter attended Coach Patrick Schoolar and the Neshoba Central Rockets High School. Hunter began his college football career with the Auburn Tigers in 2021. As a true freshman, he was honored with the SEC all-freshman team. He attended 13 games and started two, as per his NFL Combine roster on the NFL website.
In 2022, Hunter recorded 675 rushing yards with seven touchdowns. The following year, he returned as a starting running back and registered 2,172 career rushing yards. As a senior tailback in the 2024 season, he was honored with first-team All-SEC. He recorded 3,371 rushing yards and 25 rushing touchdowns, which was fourth among Auburn career rushers. He also registered a career-best 1,201 yards rushing. As per a report on the NFL website in the combine results, Hunter has recorded 4.44 seconds 40 Yard Dash with a 33.5’’ vertical jump.
