Ja'Marr Anthony Chase is an American football wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals as of the 2024 NFL season. The Bengals drafted him with the 5th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. That same year, he signed a four-year rookie contract with the team, valued at $30.8 million. In 2021, Chase was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. He also earned Second-team All-Pro honors in 2021 and was named to the Pro Bowl three times, from 2021 to 2023.

As a college athlete, Chase played football for the LSU Tigers, representing Louisiana State University. During his time there, he recorded 107 receptions for 2,093 yards and 23 touchdowns, according to Sports Reference. As per LSU’s official website, he won the Fred Biletnikoff Award and was named a unanimous All-American as a sophomore in 2019. Before committing to LSU, he played high school football at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana, where he recorded 115 receptions for 2,152 yards and 30 touchdowns during his high school career.

He missed four games due to the injury, returning in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He led the team with 87 receptions and 1,046 receiving yards, earning a Pro Bowl spot for the second year in a row.

Shoulder A/C Joint Sprain (2023)

In Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season, Chase injured his shoulder during a game against the Minnesota Vikings, leaving the game in the fourth quarter. Due to his sprained AC joint, he missed the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16. He recorded 100 receptions for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns, earning his third Pro Bowl selection.
