James Conner is a professional American footballer who plays in the National Football League as a running back for the Arizona Cardinals. His professional career started in the year 2017 when he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL draft of 2017.

After being selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers Conner signed a deal with them for four years worth $3.16 million. In 2017 he made his official NFL debut in a match against the Cleveland Browns where he recorded four carries for 11 yards. Conner finished his debut season with 144 rushing yards on 32 carries. In 2018 in the opening match of the season against the Browns COnner recorded 31 carries for 135 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Due to his brilliant performance week after Week, Conner was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month. He was also ranked by his team members at 62nd in the list of top NFL players of 2019. In 2020 Conner finished his final season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and recorded 69 carries for 721 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns with 35 receptions for 215 receiving yards.

After a successful run with the Pittsburgh Steelers for four years Conner in 2021 signed a new deal for one year with the Arizona Cardinals. In the 2021 season in a match against the San Francisco 49ers, Conner recorded three touchdowns. Conner continued his brilliant performance for the Arizona Cardinals throughout the season and finished with 752 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. Due to his brilliant performance, he was named to the Pro Bowl. He was also ranked by his team members at 80th in the list of Top Players of NFL 2022. In 2022 Conner signed a new contract extension deal for three years with the Cardinals.

Before his journey in the NFL began Conner played college football at Pittsburgh. In 2014 his sophomore season Conner was named the ACC Player of the Year because of his performance throughout the season. Conner had a successful college career and after finishing his senior year he announced that he would be entering the NFL draft of 2017.

James Conner was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on May 5, 1995, Currently, he is 28 years old. He weighs around 106 kg and due to his incredible size he was seen as a combination of speed, strength, and agility. Conner is not only a fantastic football player but also a brave human being. Conner was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2015. Despite his health condition Conner continued to play football and in 2016 he announced that he was free from cancer.
